We got married on
Friday, September 14th, 2001.
It was one of the happiest days of our lives.
We got engaged just as the new Millennium
was introduced in Newfoundland, the first second of the New Year 2000.
So it just seemed fitting that we get married in Newfoundland... our home.
Though we were (and still are) living in
Grande Prairie, Alberta at the time, we planned our wedding
from over 5000 miles away. We decided on a more non-traditional
non-formal wedding with approximately thirty people. The entire
wedding was held at the Waterford
Manor in St. John's and we could not have chosen a more
beautiful place.

The Ceremony
The ceremony was held at the
Waterford
Manor. This Victorian manor was built in 1901 by the Merchant Delgado family and provides an authentic example of a turn-of-the-century riverside mansion.

The Cake
The cake was baked and decorated by Michel's
Bakery in St. John's. It was half chocolate and half white with a layer of
delicious raspberry filling. Our cake toppers consisted of the bride and groom
Cherished Teddies.
